Hijacked vehicle recovered at Nancefield Hostel

JMPD and Gauteng traffic wardens join forces to track down stolen silver Suzuki Dzire, hijacked at gunpoint.

JMPD and Gauteng traffic wardens recovered a stolen silver Suzuki Dzire vehicle at Nancefield Hostel after it was hijacked at gunpoint on January 27.

The tracing of the vehicle began when a JMPD officer from the Infrastructure Protection Unit was approached by a victim who reported being hijacked by three unknown suspects at Maponya Mall.

The victim’s vehicle was driven towards the Nancefield Hostel.

Accompanied by the GTW, the JMPD officer proceeded to the hostel where they found the abandoned vehicle.

Unfortunately, the vehicle key was missing and the suspects had fled on foot.
