Motorists urged to be cautions amid heavy rains
A total of 10 crashes have been recorded by the Gauteng Traffic Police which resulted from slippery roads.
SA Weather Report advised Joburg residents and motorists to be cautious and vigilant during the heavy rainfall affecting parts of Gauteng, on April 4.
Gauteng Traffic Police say they have recorded over 10 crashes which are as a result of slippery roads.
Spokesperson Obed Sibasa says major routes are congested and people should drive with care.

“It is raining; roads are wet, slippery and dangerous.
“We advise motorists and other roads users to take it easy, Avoid low lying areas and crossing flooded roads.”
He emphasised that motorists should reduce speed, make sure to keep a safe following distance, turn on headlights and look out for pedestrians.
