Eldorado Park police officer to face murder charge
Fatal shooting of girlfriend sparks murder investigation.
A 42-year-old Eldorado Park police officer is expected to appear in court on December 30, 2024, for allegedly murdering his 22-year-old girlfriend Chesnay Patricia Keppler.
The incident occurred in the early hours of December 26, following a domestic dispute at the victim’s residence in Eldorado Park.

According to reports, the officer fired several shots through the window, fatally wounding his girlfriend.
He then fled the scene, but as he was about to be arrested later that day, he allegedly shot himself.
The officer is currently hospitalized under police guard.
