A woman has been arrested after her 64-year-old boyfriend was found dead with multiple injuries.

Police recently responded to a murder complaint after its Client Service Centre received a report of the incident at a house in Meadowlands Zone 10.

On arrival, police found the man’s body lying on a bed inside a bedroom. He had sustained multiple injuries to his face, chest and head.

His girlfriend was arrested at the scene after police obtained witness statements.

The body was transported to the Diepkloof Mortuary by Forensic Pathology Services for a post-mortem examination.

Police have opened a murder case. The motive has not yet been established, and investigations are continuing.
