Dobsonville man accused of rape appears in High Court
Tshepo Ntsimane, 56, faces a rape charge involving a 12-year-old girl.
A well-known and respected member of the Dobsonville community, Tshepo Ntsimane (56), appeared in the Gauteng Division of the High Court in Johannesburg on September 3 on a charge of rape.
The charge relates to the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in Dobsonville, Soweto. It is alleged that the incident occurred on April 3, 2026, at the accused’s home. Ntsimane was arrested on April 4 and subsequently charged with rape.

In a statement released by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) after his previous court appearance, it said: “The NPA has finalised its preparations and is ready to proceed with the matter when it returns to court.”
The case was postponed to November 16 at the Palm Ridge court for trial.
The NPA assured that the prosecution of crimes against children remains a key priority and that such matters are dealt with expeditiously and without undue delay.
