The culture of hard work and dedication that teachers instill to their learners to ensure that they bring out the best version of themselves is what drives children to excel in school.
Some of the competitions that stood out for leaners were the spelling bee and reading quiz.
The spelling bee game can help students in remembering vocabulary, enhancing their skills in spelling words, and making them enjoy the learning process.

“These competitions have helped me to increase my vocabulary, read a bit faster and they have taught me how to pronounce efficiently.
“Being part of the competition has made me gain confidence and not be anxious anymore,” said Ntsikelelo Mashawu, a Grade Seven learner.
According to Ngcobo, parents’ involvement motivates children to learn, leading to higher grades. The higher the degree of parental involvement, the higher the impact on the child’s academic achievement.

“We want parents to continue helping their children because without parental support learners cannot do well. At home children get primary education and at school they receive secondary education, everything starts at home,” she advised.
To conclude Ngcobo thanked all the teachers and assistants that dedicated their hearts in ensuring that learners come back with trophies and medals.
