Ramaphosa promises jobs at Siyanqoba rally held at FNB stadium
"We will continue to declare our democracy and advance the freedom that we fought so hard for.”
The ANC held its final election Siyanqoba rally on Saturday May 25, ahead of the Wednesday general elections.
Party supporters crowded the FNB stadium as the ANC continued with its final push to convince voters.
Party President, Cyril Ramaphosa made numerous promises including the expansion of the social welfare programmes if the party is given a second chance in government.

He said, “Over the next five years working with all South Africans we will implement a job spread to put all South Africans to work.

We will build our industries and invest in an inclusive economy. We will tackle the high cost of living; we will invest to our people and provide services that our people need.
“We will continue to declare our democracy and advance the freedom that we fought so hard for.”
Ramaphosa also acknowledged a number of South Africans’ complaints, primarily centred on the high rates of unemployment and poverty that disproportionately impact the country’s black population.
“We have a plan to get more South Africans to work.

“Throughout this campaign in the homes of our people, in the workplaces, in the streets of our townships and villages, so many of our people told us of their struggles to find work and provide for their families,” he said.
During his speech Ramaphosa also told the public that the ANC will continue to provide income support to those who need it the most. He said they will maintain the existing social grants, which have been so important in reducing poverty and providing poor children with opportunities.
