Eldos residents shine at Supreme Industry Awards 2024
Eldorado Park businesswomen and NGO founder scoop top awards at Supreme Industry Awards SA.
Eldorado Park businesswomen Lee-Ann Malete and NPO founder Alicia Mcpherson were among the esteemed recipients of the Supreme Industry Awards (SIA) South Africa, held at the Blyde Mint Hotel Resorts in Bronchorstspruit Pretoria on November 2.
Lee-Ann Malete, founder of Lee’s Beauty Clinic, located in Eldorado Park Ext 4, received two prestigious awards.
Her clinic was awarded second place in the aesthetic clinic of the year and third place in the beauty and wellness clinic/SPA of the year categories.
Malete, who started her business in September 2023, expressed her gratitude for the recognition.

“I was competing against doctors who have been in the industry for 11 years,” she said.

As an aesthetician, she has brought life-changing treatments to underprivileged communities in Eldorado Park and surrounding areas, attracting clients from Rustenburg and Cape Town.
Her self-developed products, Lee’s Skincare, address various ailments like skin tags, warts, and acne.
“I have helped burn victims and scarred individuals, restoring confidence through transformative treatments.
“My mission is not about wealth; I am living my dream by utilizing my gift to heal and restore,” she shared.

Gratitude and future plans
Malete thanked her existing and potential clients for their support, promising exceptional service at affordable prices. She welcomes investors and sponsors to help expand her empire, which includes empowering others through beauty courses.
She thnked Velancia Michaels from Eldos, Ext 9, who nominated her for the award after she helped her with skin tag removal.
“Her gesture sparked a wave of support from my clients, resulting in two unexpected awards and over 748 votes. I’m humbled by this recognition and grateful for the trust my clients have placed in me.”

Sisterhood Foundation SA wins big
Mcpherson, founder of the Sisterhood Foundation SA from Ext X, Eldorado Park, won in the category of charity/NPO of the year and for women empowerment.
Mcpherson described winning the award as an eye-opener, citing that the nomination alone made her realize the significant impact of her organization in the community.
