Suspect caught in Eldos with unlicensed firearm
Eldorado Park SAPS and Gauteng traffic wardens collaborated to arrest a suspect with unlicensed firearms.
A man was arrested at approximately 20:00 at Eldorado Park on April 7 after being found in possession of two unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The firearms were discovered in a black plastic bag the suspect was holding, and further investigations revealed that one firearm was reported stolen, while the other’s serial number was filed off.

SAPS received crime intelligence about armed males at the location. Members of Eldorado Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Gauteng wardens conducted a disruptive crime prevention operation from 16:00 to 04:00.

Three suspects fled the scene, but one was cornered and arrested.
The suspect is being detained at Eldorado Park SAPS cells for further investigations and will appear in the Magistrate Court soon.
