Eldorado Park SAPS cracks down on second-hand crime
Business owners pledged to report stolen goods and work closely with police at a FLASH unit session.
Eldorado Park SAPS recently met with local second-hand goods business owners to strengthen cooperation and tackle illegal activities in the area.
The session, held on March 25 in the station boardroom, was led by the Firearm, Liquor, and Second-Hand Goods Unit’s Sergeant Bongisani Fundakubi, together with Sergeant Fezeka Khobo. The meeting opened with a prayer before discussions began.
“The aim of the meeting was to ensure compliance, discuss renewal certificates, station representatives, reporting stolen goods, donations, and tackling corruption,” said Khobo.

Business owners are committed to working closely with the police, promising to report any corruption and assist one another in maintaining proper certification.
Pamphlets on second-hand goods regulations were also distributed to attendees by the FLASH officer.
The meeting concluded with a closing prayer, and a date for the next session will be announced in due course.
