Eskom has released a statement informing customers in Soweto of an electricity supply interruption due to maintenance to be conducted on the distribution network on August 19 from 07:45 to 19:00.

The outage will affect customers in Bester, Central Western Jabavu, Dlamini 1 and 2, Fox Lake, Jabavu, Klipspruit, parts of Mofolo Central, Mofolo South, Moroka, Pimville Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and White City.

‘’The interruption in electricity supply is necessary to perform essential maintenance on our distribution power lines,’’ the statement reads.

Community members are advised to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage.

Eskom shared that should circumstances that are beyond their control arise, the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed as communicated.
