Church group gives hope to children
The church group have pledged their support to children who have nowhere to go.
Zion for Christ, a group of Ethiopians from the Generation for Christ church gave disadvantaged pupils from Parkdale Primary School blankets, groceries and cutlery.
“We identified children who are vulnerable, orphaned, neglected and abused to assist.
“These are children who need hope,” Mekonnen Essa said.
They distributed 100 blankets to children from the school’s feeding scheme.
The group pledged to assist children in similar situations in the community.
Included in their outreach is spreading the love of Christ.
“We act as the hand of God reaching out to children because we get help from Him to do such things,” Essa said.
