Courses offered to former military veterans to restore their dignity

Mandela’s personal chef gives course on how to spit Braai

The South African National Military Veterans Associations (SANMVA) is a non-profit organisation formed mainly by former military veterans and cadres. They invited everyone who took part in the military services in South Africa to the Bridgeman Church In Zola One to a showcase of practical and theoretical lessons they will be offered by Eziko caterers and events and Alex Cape Holdings (ACH) . The aim of the programme is to endow practical skills to all former military persons so they can make and manage a decent living.
Shrine Nolan of ACH specializes in industrial engineering and will be teaching all successful beneficiaries how to manufacture products that may be used to generate income.
Nolan said, “We want to empower comrades and leave them with the skills to successfully run their own businesses.”
Themba Thomane of SANMVA used to be a military veteran himself, he said, “We started this initiative to educate and empower former military veterans on how to create useful machines.”
Nelson Mandela’s first black personal chef Andile Somdaka visited the showcase to demonstrate how people can use the machines they will be taught to manufacture and run businesses with them, He said teaching people skills without the entrepreneurial skills that will help them profit is redundant.
Somdaka said, “We want you to succeed so we will teach you how to manufacture and run businesses, helping all the way.
This initiated was put in place to restore the dignity of all former military veterans and cadres according to Thomane, who can be contacted on 082 632 0306 for more information.
