MOOV making education more accessible, Eldos

Programmes are from internationally accredited universities.

Massive Open Online Varsity (MOOV) plans to revolutionise education by making the world’s finest universities accessible to all who have a willingness to learn.

Learning programmes are based on suitable Massive Open Online Courses which are free to anyone. This approach removes traditional obstacles to learning as there are no entrance requirements; no set times and are located in open public spaces.

The only requirement is that individuals put in the effort to be elevated to learning at its highest level.

The MOOV centre in Eldorado Park is initially starting with support from computer fields and business related subjects, but learners are welcome to pursue studies in Science and Engineering within this open environment.

They also offer courses in Accounting, Marketing, Operations Management, Corporate Finance, Web Master, Programming (Python and Coding).

All courses are accredited by internationally recognised institutions like the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, University of Adelaide, Microsoft Academy and website creation company Wix Web.

The concept is run under the City of Johannesburg’s Vulindlel’ eJozi programme which seeks to empower the youth through education and job opportunities.

Eldorado Park facilitators Mandisa Combo and Abraham Khumalo run the Eldorado Park branch, and have additional information available on their website at www.moove.life.

MOOV founder Israel Lissoos can be seen in the video below providing more insight into the programme.
