Bring your loved ones to the Springs parkrun and get healthy together

You can never go wrong with a bit of exercise and meeting new people

The Springs parkrun is a run that is held every Saturday at 8am. The entrance is free of charge for everyone.

Runners and walkers of all ages can register at Presidents Park before the run/walk – just get there with your phone and dedicated parkrun members will help! Bring your loved ones for some healthy fun and meet new people.

Last week on October 22, Springs parkrun had a new record of 333 runners and walkers coming to participate.

Rankings and their times:
Females
Kara Beytell 23:37
Malinda du Plessis 23:39
Wilma Van Rhyn 26:51

Males
Serego Serego 20:07
Chadd Schoultz 20:58
Kyle de Klerk 21:15

The organisation was also privileged to celebrate 84-year-old Ernest Mackay’s 100th time as a volunteer. All the participants know him as the token giver when they enter the finish line. He is always friendly and happy and they feel very fortunate to have him as a volunteer at Springs parkrun.

For more information or to register before the run, visit their website: https://www.parkrun.co.za/springs/
