No cost, plenty to gain at Connection Hub Small Business Expo
Residents and business owners are invited to attend the Connection Hub Small Business Expo on July 3 for free, with dozens of exhibitors, demonstrations, talks and networking opportunities waiting to be discovered.
Local businesses and residents are invited to experience the products and services offered by local small businesses at the Connection Hub Small Business Expo at the Brakpan Rugby Club on July 3.
Visitors will be able to meet, network, and support local small businesses and entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries, enjoy great food and drinks, and partake in the activities of the day, which include:
- All day: Free wellness checks by Life Dalview Hospital
- 10:00: Roots marketing seminar by Caxton Media
- 11:30: Launch of Spice Life magazine
- 12:00: Demonstration on new coffee-containing beverage ideas by The Coffee Lady
- 12:30: Fashion show with a difference
- 13:00: Breathwork demonstration by Carol-lee Alberts.
“All the activities on the day will be free of charge, and we encourage businesses and residents to use the opportunity to support local SMEs,” said Jeanette Minderon, co-founder of Connection Hub.
“By supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, we build the local economy one business at a time.”

Visitors can expect to network with well-known companies like Life Dalview Hospital, FNB, Jetour, MG dealerships, and Republic Bus and Truck.
They can also meet companies like financial service providers, fleet and vehicle solutions, employee wellness providers, and beverage and catering solution providers.
“Service providers that we don’t normally think of unless it’s an emergency will also exhibit at the expo, like electricians and plumbers,” said Mientjie Kleinhans, co-founder of Connection Hub.
“This is your opportunity to meet these service providers and build a trusting relationship before you need their services.”
Attendees can also look forward to meeting printers, graphic designers, recruiters, and marketing companies. There will also be exhibitors who offer fashion, jewellery, and corporate gifting solutions.

Just about any product or service that a business or resident may need will be there, from legal advisors to skills development and training, pet supplies to personal wellbeing.
“Even the Brakpan SPCA will be there to give residents a chance to support them in some way,” said Minderon.
“The expo is truly an opportunity for everyone to network and support small businesses at no cost,” explained Kleinhans.
“We want to thank our partners who helped to make the day possible. Caxton Media has been creating awareness through their online platforms and local newspapers, Brakpan Herald, Springs Advertiser, Benoni City Times and Boksburg Advertiser. We thank Caxton Media for the highly valuable exposure created for the expo.
“Optimal Ads also supports the expo through their TV adverts in a variety of locations in the East Rand, and Liebenberg Malan Mofolo Inc provides the expo with legal advice where necessary.”

Kleinhans added that the rest of the marketing is done through Corporate Choices. To register for free entry at the expo or for compulsory pre-registration for the Roots marketing seminar by Caxton Media, send an email to [email protected]
