Facility for staff
The newest addition to the Far East Rand Hospital was officially opened recently.

The Employee Wellness House has been opened where the old mortuary was situated.
“The building was standing empty for ages and because there was not enough space in the main building for this centre, the management allocated it to be in this building,” says Far East Rand Hospital spokesman Hendrik Buda.
The wellness house will serve as a facility for the staff of the hospital. It’s operations will include training and development run by SK Nhlapo, wellness run by Jones Mashala who is also the coordinator of the centre, infection control run by Sister Seroka and occupational health and safety run by Veronica Mohai and Vuyelwa Nakumba.
After six months of renovations to the building, it was officially opened by Department Manager of programmes, Emily Mawela.
