Mandela Day help child welfare

July is Nelson Mandela’s birth month, and we all celebrate Mandela Day when each one of us will begin to reflect on how we are going to do our little bit in service of others.

As we prepare for our chance to give back in honour of the decades Mandela spent in sacrifice so that we could live in a better world, we think of his words that it is in our hands to make a difference.

Our hands can change the world for the better. We have the power to make a difference. This is one of the most poignant messages from this great South African who looks not to celebrity and glamour but to ordinary people and their role in the world.

When we plan for Nelson Mandela International Day on July 18,  let’s do him proud that we understand that to truly honour his legacy we should give back to our communities.

There are many things Springs & Kwa-Thema Child Welfare needs help with, not only donations, some people can only afford their time not their money, but every bit helps. If you can’t spare the time you can still help too!

So not only will you be contributing to a great cause, someone other than just our charity will benefit as well.

With all the planning needed to make this day special, please do your donations as soon as possible to sure that we can make this day a success.

Items that we need if you wish to donate items:

  • Toiletry dignity packs for both girls & boys
  • Project:  Adopt–a–child
  • Food gardens
  • Drug tests
  • Groceries
  • Seedlings
  • General donations to run the charity

Please contact Chantelee Bothma on 083 667 9447 to make the necessary arrangements.
