Money for the animals

The SPCA received a substantial donation from Homenet Property on October 3.

Dr Terry Shead of the Casseldale branch of Homenet was happy to hand over the cheque of R36 000 to the SPCA to help the funding of a horse box for the Springs SPCA.

“The money donated from us comes from the salaries of the employees of the Casseldale, Springs Town and Geduld branches. We use a portion of all of our personal salaries for these donations,” says Dr Shead.

This cheque for the SPCA is the third from Homenet and they try to hand over a cheque every six6 months.

“Future donations will go towards fixing some of the kennels. That will be the next project for the SPCA,” says Springs SPCA manager Celeste Kleyn.
