Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says detectives from the Organised Crime Unit in Germiston reacted on a tip they received that a shop in this street is dealing in copper cables.
“A man in a bakkie stopped at the shop with valuable goods and copper cables and the three men bought it from him,” says Ramphora.
The detectives estimate the weight of the goods to about 100kg.
The three men were taken to the Springs police cells and will appear in court soon.
