Hijacking along Nigel Road

The police opened a case of hijacking over the weekend.

A man was hijacked on Nigel Roadon Saturday.

According to the Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora, the victim took a cash loan of R10 000 and when he went to pay it back, the man he just met at the cash loan office, asked him for a lift.

He says the information given to the police by the victim states that when the two were driving along the Nigel Road in Selcourt , the suspect instructed the victim to stop the car and get out.

He then drove away, leaving him stranded next to the road.

The suspect walked from the crime scene to the Springs Police Station to open a case of car hijacking.

The suspect is still at large and anyone with information that may lead to his arrest should contact the Springs police on 011 365 5700/19/20.
