
Senior Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, spokesman of Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department says these four speedsters were arrested last Monday morning between 5:30am and 8:30am in the 80km per hour zone of the Paul Kruger Highway.
Two of the four drivers were caught each doing 131km/h and the other two clocked speeds of 119km per hour and 117km per hour respectively.
Another seven motorists were also nabbed for speeding on the same morning when they exceeded the 120km per hour limit on the N12 between the Putfontein off-ramp and Kingsway bridge.
The seven motorists who ended behind bars were each caught doing speeds more than 160km/h.
Kgasago says the two highest speeds were clocked by female drivers, each driving an Audi sedan.
The first one, saying she was rushing to Etwatwa,was doing 186km/h and the second highest speed registered was 174km/h.
The rest of the motorist who were arrested clocked speeds of between 167km/h and 163km/h.
