The Springs Rotary Anns hosted an event called A night under the stars in aid of cancer.
Due to Saturday evening’s rain there were no star, but the rotarians and friends enjoyed a three-course meal at Cinnamon Circle.
With a colour scheme of pink and black, the aim of the evening was to raise funds for CancerCare, a ministry of SpringsCare.
CancerCare provides spiritual and emotional support to cancer patients and their families in Springs.
There was also a moment when everyone could remember friends and loved ones who had struggled or are struggling with this disease.
Siobheanne Landsberg, the organiser said other aims of the evening were to raise awareness about cancer and to celebrate our beautiful town.
“We don’t do enough to celebrate Springs” she said.
