Due to the installation of insulators on the main substation at Dersley Park, the Eurhuleni metro planning an electricity outage for Novemer 26.
The areas that will be without electricity from 8am until 7pm include Modder East, Dersley Park, Presidents Dam, Presidents Range and the Sasol petrol stations on both sides of Paul Kruger Highway.
Themba Gadebe, Ekurhuleni’s spokeman says no guarantee can be given that power will be restored at the planned time.
He adds the maintenance work will continue throughout the day until it is completed.
He warns that all electrical networks and equipment should be regarded as being live at all times while the maintenance is being done.
