Dal Fouche sewage problem persists

They the problem has returned.

The sewage line coming from the pump station in Dal Fouche is still blocked.

This says Pieter du Plessis who lives in the cluster house closest to the pump station in Denne Road.

He says the Ekurhuleni spokesman, Themba Gadebe’s comment is incorrect, saying in the Addie of March 19 that there is drain problem in this area.

Pieter admitted that there were council employees working at the pump station, and that the sewage line was open for a while – until Thursday evening when the sewage water flowed into his back garden.

They the problem has returned when they heard the telltale, familiar sound of water bubbling in their toilet and shower.

This problem that persists became a huge headache to Pieter and his neighbours since September last year.

He says it seems to be the impeller of the pumps that are getting blocked, causing the sewage to flow into the veld and eventually into his yard.
