The biker club, Wheels in the Sky, are holding a rock festival at Lady Luck today (Saturday).
This “day jol” is held annually by the club around this time and usually draws hundreds of people, according to the club’s leader, Lionel Mayne.
“It’s an annual get together of the club and open to the public to come and enjoy the live bands and various stalls,” he says.
A line-up of four live bands will be playing throughout the day at the festival with a beer tent and many food stalls.
Black Cat Bones, Pan’s Kilt and Skop, Skiet and Ziggy (from Springs) will be entertaining the crowd with their live music of various genres.
Lionel says that, depending on how many people attend the festival, they always donate a portion of the funds to charity, which they have a meeting to decide which charity it will go to this time around.
Entrance fee to the rock festival is R60 per person.
