The potholes and uneven road surface was reported to the Ekurhuleni Metro on April 16, and repairs were promised with 48 hours.
The metro’s call centre received the complaint for the second time from Nuffield business man André Venter on April 22 and he was promised workers would be sent out within 21 days.
Venter feels the road is deteriorating and the potholes are getting bigger and bigger.
When he phoned the call centre again on May 12, he was informed the road will be repaired within 28 days.
During his last call to the call centre on June 9, he was told the roads department is doing an inspection of the roads.
Believing in the system and that the road inspectors will inspect the road, Venter waited until June 30 to report the deteriorated road again.
This time he was given a complete new reference number without any word on when the road will be fixed.
The Addie sent a request for comment to the metro two weeks ago, but none was received at the time of going to press.
