Truck overturns
A truck lost its load of cold drink on the Tonk Meter Way/N17 on-ramp on Monday.
The horse and trailer tipped on its side along a sharp corner at about 8am.
It is believed the driver lost control of the truck and the trailer first hit the barriers before tipping over.
This caused the horse to overturn.
Paramedics treated the driver on the scene.
It is believed the driver was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Springs police and the EMPD were on the scene.
The road was closed until the scene was cleared.
Workers from the cold drink company were seen loading bottles of cold drink from the overturned truck into another truck.
It is believed the workers will also remove the damaged bottles from the scene.
