Explosives gets man arrested

One suspect was arrested for explosives in Payneville on Friday.

During a illegal mining operation the SAPS arrested a suspicious-looking man at 11am on Friday morning.

Upon searching the man, the Springs police members found explosives in his possession.

It is suspected that the explosives were illegally obtained and used for illegal mining activities.

The suspect, aged 19, was arrested for illegal possession of explosives and was taken to the Springs Police Station.

He is expected to appear in the Springs Magistrate’s Court soon.
