The suspects were caught red-handed selling the diesel for cash.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says police received information about the men stealing diesel to sell it.
When police arrived at 11.30am, they found a group of men, who then fled in different directions.
“We managed to catch two suspects, aged 23 and 41 years of age,” he says.
The police also found four drums of diesel, as well as 12 empty drums.
A case of possession of stolen diesel was opened at the police station.
The suspects will remain in the police cells.
