Wine tasting at its best
A successful wine tasting was held on Thursday evening at Riverside Country Estate in Grootvaly.
The fund-raising event was hosted and organised by the Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI).
Businessman Frank van Solleveldt enjoyed the event, which was presented by winemaker Jacques Borman from Boschkloof Wines, in Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape.
Jacques previously worked for the Rupert family and was involved in developing La Motte, Rupert and Rothchilds wines before opening his family owned winery.
At the recent Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards of South Africa, his Boschkloof Syrah 2010 took the honours as the best wine at the show.
Jacques felt honoured to visit Springs.
“It was wonderful to still see people getting together at such an event,” he says.
Anita Greef, general manager of the EGCCI, says chamber members and friends enjoyed the opportunity of tasting award-winning wines which complemented the excellent dinner.
