The officers received information at 7pm about the suspect who was allegedly involved in several cases of theft and also impersonating a metro police officer.
When the metro police officers arrived at the house of the suspect, they found the man to be at home and searched the house.
While searching they found several bank cards belonging to different people as well as a stolen metro police ID card, allegedly used by the suspect.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Springs SAPS for theft, possession of suspected stolen goods and impersonating a police officer.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, confirms the suspect was arrested and will appear in court soon.
