Man gets hijacked in Springs when giving directions

A man who stopped to give directions to someone had his vehicle hijacked in Vlakfontein Road, Springs on Saturday.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the man was driving in Vlakfontein Road at 11.30am when a man stopped him and asked for directions.

While the man was directing the suspect, a second suspect appeared from nowhere, opened the passenger side door and ordered the first suspect to get into the car.

“They drove around to Johannesburg where the victim was ordered to get out of the vehicle,” says Ramphora.

The victim managed to find his way back to Springs and opened a hijacking case at the police station.
