Metro is working on power interruptions

The Ekurhuleni Metro has responded to a query about the regular power interruptions in Selcourt over the past few weeks.

Selcourt residents are unhappy about the power disruptions and want to know from the metro if this situation is going to continue.

Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe says they are aware of the plight faced by clients in the Selcourt area.

“These interruptions are due to faults and theft of the electricity infrastructure, and not to any other cause,” he explains.

”Metro technicians cannot, however, foresee the recurrence of these faults; they can only reduce the effect and get the power back on as soon as possible.”

The metro asks residents to please be patient while metro technicians attend to the power outages as quickly as possible.
