The operation was aimed at looking for drugs and illegal firearms in the CBD.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the trio looked suspicious and when approached by police officers drugs were found in their possession.
The suspects, aged between 28 and 33 years, were detained at the police cells and will appear in court soon.
“We want to clean the CBD of drugs and illegal firearms and will continue with the clean-up operation,” says Ramphora.
