Fake customers rob business

Two suspects, pretending to be customers, robbed a business in Seventh Street, CBD on Monday.

The 34-year-old victim heard the doorbell ring and opened the door.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says one of the one suspects pulled out a knife and grabbed the victim by the neck.

“He ordered her not to scream,” he says.

The duo then took R4 000 in cash as well as cigarettes to the value of R1 000 and fled the scene.

Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
