Fátima festival enthralls at Veritas Preparatory

Festivities and a fund-raiser were hosted by Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at Veritas Preparatory School on Sunday.

The event followed Saturday evening’s events when Our Lady of Fátima statue arrived from Portugal at the church.

Traditional Portuguese food was available for lunch as community members got together with their families for a day of fun and family bonding time.

A local dance group entertained the large crowd with flashy dance moves and impressive choreography.

Then the Terra Do Norte folklore dance group from Johannesburg captivated the audience with their acts.

The proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the maintenance of the church.
