Cogta and Human Settlements MEC to visit Springs for sod-turning ceremony.

The Daggafontein Mega City Project sod-turning ceremony and launch will be held on Friday.

The launch will be from 9am until 2pm and the property development is adjacent to Edelweiss Extension, south of the N17 highway.

Paul Mashatile, MEC of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Human Settlement will be amongst the VIPs attending the sod-turning ceremony of the Mega City project at Edelweiss Extension Three.

The event will bring this eagerly-awaited development a step closer to becoming a welcome reality for potential house owners and eager residents of the planned new project.

A brief video footage on the project will be part of the launch.

Guests will be addressed by the developers, MEC and stakeholders and a draft programme will be discussed.

The Mega City include mixed housing with commercial and industrial developments, three schools and a medical centre as well as all other amenities

According to the developer, the Alticon Group, a portion of the property (8.6 hectares) has been zoned for a medical facility which will include a hospital, emergency and baby wellness centres, radiology, dental care, high care unit, pathology and optometry.
