Sector Four police members received a call of a body on the corner of Rose Street and Tenth Avenue, Welgedacht on Sunday.
When they arrived at 6.45am, they found the body of man, only known as Xolani, lying in the street.
“We called the ambulance and paramedics declared the man dead on the scene,” says Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesperson.
Police believe the deceased was killed somewhere else and the body dumped in Welgedacht.
The deceased had a wound to his forehead and blood all over his face and body.
Ramphora says the deceased’s friend informed them he last saw Xolani at a house party in Second Street at 10pm, on Saturday.
Police will investigate the information received.
