Men sought after house robbery

Suspects accused victim of stealing a car radio from a taxi.

A man was forced into his house in Durban Drive, Slovo Park, by two suspects after he returned from a shebeen at 10.30am on Monday.

The suspects accused him of stealing a car radio from a taxi.

The man allegedly denied the allegations.

According to Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora, the suspects, one armed with a firearm, pushed the man into his house and started assaulting him with the firearm.

After the suspects had searched the man, they took R800 from his pocket.

“They also searched the house and took a TV, electric kettle, iron and his cellphone and fled the scene,” says Ramphora.

The man then locked his house and walked to the police station to open a case of house robbery.

Ramphora says if anyone can assist the police with information, they can contact the police station on 011 365 5719/20.
