The car of an Eastvale resident was hijacked when he got out to close the gate at his house in Swartberg Street on Monday evening.
He parked his vehicle outside his property at 7.50pm when he noticed two unknown men approaching him.
According to Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora the owner of the white VW Golf 4 says the men ordered him to “voetsek”.
“Both men got into the Golf and drove off,” says Ramphora.
The owner of the vehicle immediately phoned the police for assistance.
Police are investigating a case of hijacking.
