Suspects kick shack door in

Victims burned with iron and hot stove.

A woman was about to take a bath in Madrid Street, Slovo Park Phase One, when her shack door was kicked open on Thursday.

According to Springs police spokesperson, Capt Johannes Ramphora, the woman went to lock the door at 10pm, when three unknown armed men entered.

They took her cellphone and instructed her to go to the neighbour’s shack and upon entering the shack, she found the owner and his friend lying on the ground.

“She was asked to lie on the floor next to them, ” says Ramphora.

The suspects were all armed with firearms and knives and one of them also had a pair of scissors which he allegedly used to cut the victim’s clothes.

“One of the suspects went back to the woman’s shack and took two pairs of tekkies and R3 000 which she kept in one of the shoes,” says Ramphora.

The victims were also burnt with an iron and a two-plate stove. All sustained minor injuries.

“We are investigating a case of house robbery,” says Ramphora.
