Hoërskool Hugenote revealed their new mascot on Saturday morning.
The new mascot is named Die Hugenoot and represents the heart of the school.
The new mascot forms part of the school’s effort to bring back the culture of the school before the schools joined in 1995.
“We want to start new traditions for the school that help us contribute positively to the culture of the school.
“We want to use sport to uplift the children so that we can produce well-rounded and balanced young men and women that contribute to society in a positive manner,” says Adele Horn, the press representative for the school.
