Hope & Halos kick-starts blanket drive ahead of the cold season
This is what you can do with your old blankets.
Hope & Halos has started its blanket drive ahead of winter.
The collection drive started last week, and the organisation wants your old blankets.

“We want to assist families and animal organisations to keep warm this winter.
“We would also like to include the homeless in this initiative, as they take the brunt of the ice-cold weather and many have no shelter at all,” says Hope & Halos director Louise Mawhinney.
Those who do not have spare blankets can donate money and the organisation will buy blankets on their behalf.

The drive will continue until the end of April.
Those who wish to donate blankets can drop them off at Springs Old Boys or contact Louise Mawhinney on 082 463 1891 to arrange drop-off times or collection.
