Residents in Bakerton will soon enjoy the fun park currently under construction.
The park, which is built as part of the Lungile Mtshali Urban Management Legacy Projects, will include exercise and playground equipment.

Ward Councillor Ramesh Sheodin says, “I am pleased to see that some progress is made in the construction of the outdoor gym in Bakerton.
“The project came to a standstill for the last 30 days but started again.
“As the councillor of Ward 72, I will closely monitor the progress and ensure that project is not hijacked and the monies misappropriated.

“I will not accept poor quality workmanship and will monitor the progress.
“Widespread fraud is allegedly taking place in this project all over Ekurhuleni.
“This will not be another opportunity for irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure,” says Sheodin.
The metro did not respond to our enquiry as to when construction will finish at the park.
