 Epilepsy SA Geduld Centre needs help with renovations

The centre is currently building a new sickbay, a recreation room as well as updating the units which the residents live in.

The Epilepsy SA Geduld Centre has started a renovation project at the centre that will greatly improve the quality of life of the residents.

The centre is currently building a new sickbay, a recreation room as well as updating the units which the residents live in.

The renovations which started last year will continue for the foreseeable future.

“We are appealing to the public to help us with paint, new tiles, pedestals, basins, toilets, curtains etc.

“If people don’t have the material to spare, but they have construction experience, they are also welcome to join us as that would be very helpful,

“The more people join us, the sooner we will be done,” says Magdaleen Kruger, manager at the centre.

The centre is not expanding, but they are also doing their bit to help others in the community.

“The day workers we employ to help us with the renovations are people from the community who have come to us through social workers or word of mouth,” says Kruger. Those who wish to donate to the centre can do so via email to gauteng@epilepsy.org.za or call 011 811 1590 and to speak to either Magdaleen or Sandra Pohl.
