Bystander stabbed while helping victim in First Avenue

When questioned by the police on why he had stabbed the bystander, the suspect said he was drunk and thought the bystander was trying to rob him.

A man was stabbed last Thursday while attempting to catch one of the suspects who was running from the police.

This is after the police were attending to a woman who was mugged and stabbed in her stomach and said the person who stabbed her had run to a nearby vehicle.

While the police were talking to the occupants of the vehicle, one of the men ran.

It was then that the bystander attempted to stop the man when he was stabbed.

When questioned by the police on why he had stabbed the bystander, the suspect said he was drunk and thought the bystander was trying to rob him.

The victim was taken to hospital and the suspect was arrested and a case of attempted murder was opened.
