Wish Upon A Wedding and win

Make sure you enter to stand the chance to win your dream wedding.

Are you planning on proposing to your significant other within the next year?

If so, you may be in line to win a fully paid for wedding.

The Springs Advertiser is launching our Wish Upon A Wedding competition today to find the best proposal of the year.

So, if you intend to use this holiday season to propose, make sure you read on so you are prepared to enter the competition.

The proposal voted the best, by our readers, will win the wedding for that couple.

How does it work?

The full rules and T&Cs will appear online and in the first newspaper of 2019, but for those proposing this month, here are the basic requirements to enter the competition.

• The competition is open to all Springs residents.

• If you are about to propose to your loved one, make sure you make it special so you can secure the votes needed to win.

• Take a video of the moment you pop the question, and they say yes.

• Snap a photo of the happy couple together.

• Send the photo with either your short video of not more than two minutes or a written account (no more than 300 words) of the proposal along with both people’s first and last names and the area in which you live.

• A couple is defined as two people in a relationship irrespective of age, race, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliations – if you are in a committed relationship and planning on tying the knot, we want to hear from you.

• Proposals must take place within the specific time period.

• Each month couples who get engaged in that month or the month before will have the opportunity to send us their proposal story for consideration. For example, couples getting engaged in either December (this month) or January will be eligible to enter the January Proposal of the month.

• Once all the entries are in each month, each couple’s story, photo and video will be posted online for our readers to vote for the best one.

• Photos of all the couples will also be published in the Springs Advertiser.

• A winner will be chosen each month to compete for the proposal of the year and the opportunity to win the wedding.
