Motorists concerned about ‘taxi rank’ on Wit Road

Motorists were baffled to see taxis parked on the side of Wit Road, opposite the Springs Mall.

The taxis were all empty and the drivers were standing around.

It was not clear who the taxis belonged to or where they were off to. Springs Taxi Association (STA) chairperson Leonard Molo says, “We were not aware of this and we will investigate what is happening and why and will respond to the public when we know more.”

Marketing manager for the Springs Mall, Amoret D’Arrigo, explained they have no jurisdiction on roads, pavements and circles that belong to the metro.

The EMPD failed to respond in time for publication.
