Driver pulled over suspects wearing a police uniform in hijacking

The truck was eventually found in Welgedacht on the same day.

A truck driver was hijacked after pulling over after what appeared to be a police car flashed their lights at him on Sunday afternoon on the Etwatwa offramp on the N12.

The driver was approached by a suspect wearing what appeared to be a police uniform with a firearm, while the other suspect went to the passenger side and said there was something wrong with the truck.

After the suspects put the victim in their car, the other suspect drove the truck for approximately an hour and eventually dropped him off at a mielie field in Sundra.
